Impressions from Birjoo Mehta Workshop 12-14 November 2016 in Malaysia

For any movement to take place the mind has to go there. In this way, you have to penetrate your body with your mind and then create evenness. Ask yourself in every pose, where is the mind penetrating? And from there, observing the mind through the mind, the mind becomes silent.

In this way a scattered mind (chitta vikshipta) moves to an alert, quiet state and from there consciousness can spread evenly (chitta prasadana).

And only when the mind is rested, seated, yoga practice becomes Asana.
